UAP YES and TIB jointly organized a webinar titled “Understanding the Covid-19 Pandemic”

 

On 16 June 2020 evening UAP Youth and Engagement Support-YES and the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) jointly organized a webinar titled “Understanding the Covid-19 Pandemic”.

Prof. Dr. Abul Hasnat Milton, Director of Epidemiology Centre, Australia was the resource person who explained the scientific facts regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and advised necessary suggestions to the participants to maintain the WHO-provided health protocols. Prof. Milton also inspired the students to eat healthy good, do daily physical exercises and sleep adequately to keep the body and mind healthy to strengthen the immunity system.

The webinar was graced by the presence of Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). He welcomed the students and the guests and reminded the participants to maintain social distance and health instructions.

The webinar was also attended by Air Cdre (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer and Director, Directorate of Student Welfare (DSW), UAP, and Mr. Sheikh Manzoor-e-Alam, Director, Outreach and Communication, TIB.

Around 80 students from various departments of UAP, ULAB YES Group; Institute of Education and Research (IER), Dhaka University; Stamford University and members of Sanak Jamalpur and Lalmonirhat participated in the awareness webinar where Mr. Masum Billah, Deputy Programme Manager, Outreach and Communication, TIB, and Coordinator, UAP YES Club was present as the moderator.
